What will your job look like
- Develop solutions to loosely defined business problems by leveraging pattern detection over potentially large datasets;
- Create data architectures and develop dashboards using business intelligence platforms;
- Identify what data are available and relevant, including internal databases and external data sources;
- Develop experimental design approaches to validate data or findings;
- Validate analysis by comparing appropriate samples;
- Prepare special management reports by compiling, evaluating, interpreting, and reporting on current and projected results of operational/financial/administrative activities;
- Document and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff to gain business process requirements;
- Contribute to team effort by performing highly detailed work on multiple concurrent projects and tasks under strict deadlines;
- Define the validity of the information, how long the information is meaningful, and what other information it is related to;
- Collaborate with the data owners to ensure that the information used follows the compliance, access management, and control policies and that it meets the qualification and assurance requirements;
- Recommend ongoing improvements to methods and algorithms that lead to findings, including new information;
- Present and depict the rationale of their findings in easy to understand terms;
- Provide business metrics for the overall project to show improvements (contribution to the improvement should be monitored initially and over multiple iterations);
- Demonstrate clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, logic, significance, and fairness;
- Provide on-going tracking and monitoring of performance of decision systems and statistical models; and
- Present and convey statistical and computational findings to the public in a comprehensible manner.
- SQL scripting to extract data;
- Forecasting methods;
- Excel (intermediate to advanced);

- PowerPoint and presentation skills;
- Concepts of data management, data validation, and data integrity;
- ArcGIS (intermediate to advanced);
- Statistical computer languages such as Python, R or equivalents;
- Machine learning algorithms (clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.);
- Statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms;
- Regulatory and security policies;
- Internal and external data collection processes;
- Experimental design approaches; and
- Methods to define the validity of the information, how long the information is meaningful, and how it is related to other information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Social Science or related field; AND
- Five (5) years of relevant statistical and analytics experience.
